Gunjan Mishra graduated from IIT Roorkee (formerly known as the University of Roorkee) in 1998 with a B.E. in Metallurgical Engineering. A seasoned and accomplished Information Technology professional with over 25 years of experience in different domains, he currently works as a principal IT consultant with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), advising different federal government entities on cutting-edge technological solutions in the fields of data analytics, cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Before this position, he worked in several senior roles across a range of domains such as healthcare, banking, publishing, etc. He currently resides in New Jersey and is an active participant in community affairs, volunteering for different local charities and engaging in fundraising activities for numerous causes, IIT Roorkee among them.

Dr. Nandini Singh is an award-winning business owner, educationist, environmental scientist and community leader. She currently leads a highly regarded Math and Reading reinforcement program serving PreK–12 students in Northfield, New Jersey. Before establishing her education venture, Dr. Singh taught as an adjunct professor at Temple University in Philadelphia for seven years. Prior to moving to the United States, she served on the faculties of Kumaon University and Garhwal University in India, teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Dr. Singh holds an MSc and a PhD in Toxicology, reflecting her strong academic foundation and lifelong commitment to scientific learning. Her excellence as an entrepreneur was recognized when her education program was honored as the Best Performing Business on the East Coast by a national franchise organization. Nandini is also serving as the Chairperson of the Literacy Committee for the Atlantic County, NJ Government, where she leads initiatives aimed at strengthening community literacy and educational engagement. As an educationist, Dr. Singh has dedicated her professional life to advancing and promoting excellence in learning. She looks forward to contributing her expertise and passion toward her lifelong mission through the IIT Roorkee Foundation, Inc.

Charan Singh is a successful entrepreneur, a proven engineer, an Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering professional. He is an award-winning philanthropist and community and social leader. He always seeks to connect diverse peoples and communities to help address social issues and fulfill societal goals.

Charan possesses over 35 years of experience in business, information and communications technology, engineering, and Power and Natural Gas, Healthcare, Education, and Government (US and India).

He has been involved in community service for over 15 years volunteering in the Tri-State area (Southern New Jersey, Philadelphia and Delaware). He is passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion among communities and promoting interfaith peace and trust. Charan was selected for the Diversity Champion award by Atlanticare Foundation US, and was awarded the NJ Governor’s Jefferson Award in 2021, one of the highest awards for voluntary service in New Jersey.

Charan Singh completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree from the University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee) in Electronics and Communication Engineering (batch 1985). He started working with UPTRON Lucknow and joined HILTRON in 1991. In 1996 he started with United Nations Development Projects as Director Technical. In 2000 he moved to the USA to work for a Federal Aviation Administration contractor in New Jersey. He has worked in the Energy and Healthcare sectors supporting Information Technology and founded and manages a small business in IT Services.

Charan considers it an honor to serve the IIT Roorkee Foundation. He looks forward to making contributions to advance its role and mission by facilitating collection of donations from IITR alumni and other donors.

Mohinder L. Nayyar graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from IIT Roorkee in 1966. He is an ASME Life Fellow and recipient of the 2016 Distinguished Alumnus Award of IIT Roorkee. Two reference books, Piping Handbook and Piping Databook, published by McGraw-Hill and authored/edited by him, have been used by engineers worldwide for more than 27 years. He has many firsts to his credit. His contributions, accomplishments, leadership and roles as chair and vice-chair of national and international committees and boards on codes and standards have earned him numerous awards. Since 1995 he has been listed in Who’s Who in the World. He has published four poetry books: Ghatayen, Ehsas, Mahak, and Heartbeats. His quest for the meaning of life led him to write The Purpose of Life. He lives in Ashburn, Virginia, USA. He feels honored and privileged to claim India as his Janmabhumi and the USA as his Karmabhumi. To him, “Work is worship.”
